Sp3 In Exchange 2007  querey
HI Team Recently i had upgraded the service pack 3 for Exchange 2007 RTM version on Windows servere 2003 and i have a couple questions below. 1. The version and Build number is 8.3 (Build 83.6). which indicates it has been upgraded to SP3. is there are any other way to determined that the SP 3 installed succcessfully on Ex 2007 like in appwiz.cpl or any event viewer( I need to check the evenet viwer) 2.Any link to know , what is features are added in Sp3 on Exchange server 2007. i checked in google and feature is chnaging the password for OWA users which is avaialble in the front page of OWA. is the only feature added in SP3? if any please provide the link... is Sp3 in exchnage 2007 is effective when i installed in windows server 2003? or it should be installed in Exchange 2007 on Windows server 2008 BOX? which one is good?

1. You can launch the Exchange Management Console and navigate to Server Configuration > Client Access. You will see the list of servers. And in the Version section you will see the following Version = 8.3 (Build =83.6) 2. There are a few main features that is included with Service Pack 3. a). There is now support for Windows Server 2008 R2 b). As you mentioned the Change Password feature is introduced with SP3. c). Management Tools are now supported on Windows 7 Client Machine for Exchange Server 2007 You can take a look at the following article for additional information. http://www.exchangeserverinfo.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=142:new-features-in-exchange-2007-sp3&catid=29:exchange-2007&Itemid=53 It will work on Windows Server 2003, but if you are looking at upgrading the OS or implement a new server you can install Windows Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2007 SP3.
